On April 22, the nation observes an annual Earth Day celebration. Earth Day came into being in 1970. Since then, the observance has always revolved around helping people learn that we’re supposed to be the stewards that take care of an protect our precious planet. And the Schaaf Floral team believes that one way to observe, celebrate, and honor this non-official national observance is through flowers and green or blooming plants.
On April 25, we observe Administrative Professionals Day. It is part of a week during which employers in all industries all over the world, but especially in the United States, recognize the people who work as administrative professionals. It used to be known as National Secretaries Week. The Schaaf Floral team is thrilled to be able to help the businesses in our community observe this unofficial day and week of recognition.
Regardless of how long the days are now, or the fact that the calendar says Spring has arrived, Minneapolis residents know that winters here continue for what feels like ad infinitum. We may see glimpses of things to remind us that it is Spring, but that doesn’t cancel out the temperature on outdoor thermostats. We may get teases of warmer weather, but the next day, we wake up to near freezing temperatures or less. But you can infuse your home with a warmer and more spring-like atmosphere. And as always, you can count on Schaaf Floral to help you do that.
Spring is here, and Easter is almost here, but neither of those dates or meteorological designations means anything when it comes to winter weather in the Minneapolis area. We know better than to get our hopes up that there won’t be a late winter snow storm – even in early Spring. The only way to capture that springtime feeling – now, and for the foreseeable future is to bring it indoors! Schaaf Floral has a vast selection of colorful blooming plants and cut flowers, and dish gardens with which to fill any space where you spend your time.
The calendar tells us that March 20th is the first day of Spring. When you live in Minneapolis, you know that the date on the calendar doesn’t mean a heck of a lot. Late Spring blizzards aren’t uncommon, and neither are cold temperatures. The Schaaf Floral team urges you to do what we do. We cheer ourselves up with spring flowers! We’re surrounded by them here, but we enjoy them in our homes, and you should, too!
March 8 is International Women’s Day. People throughout the world mark this day with national and local celebrations to honor women for their achievements recognize their accomplishments, and to empower them, as we work to promote global gender equality. The Schaaf Floral team joins this national observance. In doing so, we hope that all of our customers seize this opportunity to recognize women in their lives and show their appreciation by giving the gift of flowers.
We all live chaotic lives. Home, work, and family obligations are always the number one priority, and we always put our own needs on the back burner without ever thinking about not doing so. It’s just the way things always are. How often do you ever think about doing something special for yourself? If our Schaaf Floral team were gamblers, we’d be willing to bet that the answer to that question is rarely – or never.
