Many of our customers and friends may not know this, but Schaaf Floral has actually been in the recycling business for years.

It’s true! In addition providing gorgeous floral arrangements, plants and gifts, Schaaf Floral is also dedicated to doing our part to recycle and keep our corner of the world as beautiful as possible.

Schaaf’s Going Green program was instituted to ensure that usable floral containers are not simply discarded or placed in the trash. We gratefully accept back the gently used containers your flowers were delivered in, and will use them again if possible. And although we know you don’t need a reward, you will receive a single rose as a thank you for your shared commitment to Going Green. It’s a win-win scenario – you save a container from the landfill, and a beautiful rose will grace your home.

We are also proud of our tradition of finding homes for containers that cannot be resold. These containers are re-purposed as ambassadors of happiness, as they carry floral arrangements that are delivered, free of charge, to local nursing homes. This program, along with our Lend A Hand program, is another way for Schaaf Floral to give back to the Minneapolis community we call home and care so deeply about.
