If going to a Labor Day party – A nice bouquet along with a great hot dish
Or maybe a candy bouquet – The dream come true to a chocolate lovers wish

We can’t forget the history – Of why Labor Day even exists
It’s appreciation to hard working Americans – The benefits they won is an extensive list

So maybe you’ve been invited – To a party you’re unable to attend
But you want to show your gratitude – So maybe a floral gift you’ll send

With a note of deep regret – Or maybe a basket of fresh fruit instead
Although you won’t be at the party – You’re helping everyone get fed

So when Labor Day arrives – And all is said and done
We’ll all be going back to work or school – But first let’s all enjoy the fun!
